T21 – Which MiniPCI combo card to buy?

Thank you guys for having this forum.

When I try to boot it gets to the XP splash screen with the bar moving and then after about a minute the bar stops moving and nothing else happens.

After spending many hours I was able to find what is wrong – Xircom 10/100 EtherJet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K Modem – but I was convinced that this was software issue. This problem is weird since sometimes I am able to boot laptop with no need to remove combo card.

Well, after reading posts here I see that only solution is to replace the combo card. I would appreciate if you could advise me which one would be the best choice?
Should I go with the original model or there is better upgrade?

then I would point you there. I believe that the first four will perform the same (ethernet and modem combo adapters) however, note that 19K5888 and 08K3125 are "withdrawn". That leaves the Intel 06P3809 and the 3Com 22P7594. You may also need to download the latest drivers for these cards:
