T60 battery problem

#1 Post by zlin » Wed Dec 12, 2007 8:56 am

Hey,

I have a problem with my T60. It does not seem to charge properly. Most of the time when i attach ac it (power manager) tells me that "battery not installed". When i unplug the ac computer will continue working and after 5 seconds appears the battery - charged at 84% or whatever there is left. When i plug in the ac again the battery disappears and it does not charge. When i use the batter to low percentages (25% etc) it will charge until i turn off the computer. After i turn it back on it's the same deal.

Also the green batter led on the t60 is not on when i plug in the ac and it should charge.

What could be the problem? Is it the battery or the charger? or is it a software (driver) problem? Should i try reinstalling windows?

Thank you for your responses.

I'm sure it's not what you want to hear but to me it sounds like your computer has a hardware problem. Hope it is still under warranty.
