Accessing TP 390x BIOS

#1 Post by bobcon » Tue Nov 16, 2004 8:23 pm

I have a 390x that runs great, but I'm not able to access the BIOS. I've pressed F1 while powering up and only get a screen that says: "accessing BIOS/Setup" it then hangs. Using ctrl-alt- delete results in a normal startup. A password is never asked for. I've flashed it to the most current BIOS(55) and still have the same problem. I'm planning on replacing the current 4.8G HD with a 40G HD and would like to change the boot sequence. It looks like I may be forced to boot from the A drive in order to partition/format the new HD and install an OS. It boots from the A drive without any problems.
Aside from this problem it has been a great used machine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Bob

PS This was purchased from a large company. Could the current HD have some sort of security feature that disables accessing the BIOS??
