need a DOS wizard

#1 Post by gibblr » Thu Dec 13, 2007 1:15 am

Good day
I have been collecting Windows updates for months now. I have all the updates that I need for my machines

While cruising the Microsoft site I came across a page telling me how to slipstream service pack 2 with other updates

I did that and as soon as it was done it right away went into the update process and wanted to reinstall SP2 on my computer.

Is this possible? All I need help with is trying to make the slipstreamed SP2 output to a file rather than automatically installing.
This is the command I am using to slipstream the files together.
c:\SP2\WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe /integrate:C:\XPCD

Thanks for your time

The Run dialogue box is accessed from [Start] [Run]
The proper command is:
C:\SP2\WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe -x
It will then ask you where to extract to.
Type in the destination:
C:\XPCD
That should do it.
