No screensaver when AC plugged in

#1 Post by evforme » Thu Dec 13, 2007 3:17 am

I have a screensaver set, but it seems that it won't automatically start up when I have AC adapter plugged in. Anybody see this problem before? I own a near stock T60p 2623-DDU w/ extra memory.

Do you happen to also connect a USB device like a mouse or some other sort of usb wireless adapter at the same time while using the machine on AC adapter?

If so then I suggest you look into the following:

According to poster on Microsoft NewsGroup it's a known bug under Windows Vista:

the screen save will NOT activate when the laptop is powered from AC (sic).

The screen saver does not start after you install a wireless pointing device.

Thanks for the tips! I'm going to try these tonight. I've not been even able to locate an option to activate my screensaver in the control panel or on the Intel graphics controller.

I'm running Folding at Home, and I like to be able to see the progress it's made.
