FYI -

If your wanting to do a fresh factory restore primarily to remove unwanted bloatware, here is the list of apps you can exclude on an X61T with XP 2005 edition.

The Apps with an X are the apps I'd excluded and I had a glitch - but that just might be my machine. I plan to try it again unless I hear otherwise..

Well, have to say, I really -like- "easy eject" because it is so helpful to use when disconnecting external USB drives. The interface is so much better to use than the awful and confusing "safe to remove" thingy that comes natively on Windows.

I would agree with you.

So there I learned something. I was previously incorrectly told that this had to do with the tablet optional base system which I don;t use.

Exiting usb drives by clicking on that green icnon in my tray I use all the time.

That is part of Windows. What the other member told you about, is an additional utility offered by ThinkVantage tools, comes in blue colored tray if it matters.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

It's simpler than left clicking on the icon in the system tray and clicking again on what you want to eject?
