External video issues after video driver & BIOS update
One of my users has a X61 Tablet (7767-96U) and when he uses the machine with a projector, the screen is not full screen, and it shakes. I know it's not the projector, because plugging in another machine works fine. Also, when the machine boots, the Lenovo screen and the starting Windows screens look fine. As soon as the blue background with the logon prompt load, the resolution changes and the screen shakes. He was having BSOD issues when he used the pen on the screen, and the BIOS and video driver updates fixed this. When he has the machine in the dock, his external monitor for fine however. 1 thing I haven't tried, and I just thought about it, was seeing if the projector had the same problems when the laptop was connected to the dock. I'll try that next week, but in the meantime, has anyone else seen the same issue? The machine has Windows XP, not Vista.
