T23 Half Life and Counter Strike

#1 Post by flashstar » Fri Dec 14, 2007 11:32 pm

I didn't buy my T23 to play games, but I thought that it would be neat if I could play some original counter strike or half life once in a while. I loaded up steam and installed both games, but on half life and counter strike I only get 20 fps at 800x600 pixels and 30 fps at 640x480 pixels. This is with medium graphics color settings (16 bit color).

I have got practically no processes running. Is there anything that I can do to get it to a playable frame rate?

Thanks.

Could HL or CS be using software rendering? Sometimes, in my experience, it'll randomly switch back to using software rendering even after DirectX or OpenGL is specified.

You can't really expect much more from that videocard with only 16MB RAM.

i did run HL and CS in my old toshiba that had around 16MB RAM. With all the setting set all the way down, it ran quite well.
