T60 Atheros wifi no more LED

#1 Post by tamx0004 » Mon Dec 17, 2007 9:30 pm

I'm guessing there are other forum members running Vista 64 with a T60/61 and Atheros non N wifi card. I just recieved one I purchased from a member. However after installing it the wifi indicator LED no longer lights. I downloaded the latest driver from Lenovo prior to installing the card. And the wifi does work fine, however no light. I'll have to check to see if the fn+f5 allows me to turn the card on and off or not, and I'll check the driver to make sure I'm using the Lenovo one and not a microsoft one. The driver installed it self, so maybe it's using a older one. Just wondering if anyone else ran into this issue?

Thanks

Prior to installation of card, update your BIOS.

After installation of card, update/reinstall the drivers from lenovo.

Thanks, I just needed to install the Lenovo drivers. Vista pick up the card with it's default drivers, which allowed the wifi to work, but not all the thinkpad features.
