Leopard on x61 ? - problem

Hello,

I have an X61 with a 10.4.10 installation. I wanted to upgrade to leopard and downloaded the ToH image.

Unfortunately I found that my X61 does not boot from that image (a T60 I also own does though).

Here's where it hangs:
Anybody has a hint ?

Hi, tried booting in safemode? (boot with -x)

I think the x3100 is the problem, I know it is on my x61s and booting in safemode helps. Havent found a real solution yet.

Thanks for the hint. At least with -x it boots...

Nevertheless would be great to be able to boot without -x

While in safemode, delete and backup the AppleSOMETHINGX3100 kext and replace it with a custom made by paulicat http://www.mediafire.com/?bwi3tmxerlw . Remember to set right permissions ( http://forum.osx86scene.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=229 )

Thanks I'll give it a try.

In the meantime I found out that also only deleting the AppleIntelGMAX31* files solves the problem.

Note that when using the PC_EFI bootloader (v8.0, possibly earlier too) and a vanilla 10.5.1 kernel, this is no longer necessary, and you get full accelerated video support (and working sleep among other things) on the X61.
