#1 Post by charredii » Tue Dec 18, 2007 9:30 pm

what the maximum RAM I can use on a T60 running XP Pro, simple right??

what if I upgrade to vista??

What's the max speed the T60 can handle?? PC5300 or greater??

Also, if i have a stock CL5 1gb DIMM, is there a problem if i put in another CL4 1gb DIMM??

T60p's maximum is 3GB for both XP and Vista. If you upgrade to Vista, get 2GB. If you need more for whatever apps you decide to run, then max it out with 3GB.

Interesting that this Lenovo page claims the maximum to be 4 GB While the latest PC Doctor claims the maxium supported is 2 GB.

I've installed 4 gigs and it was a waste of money, all Windows XP 32-bit will see is 3 gigs.
