R60 >>Flexview upgrade

#1 Post by chazz » Thu Dec 20, 2007 1:47 am

Actually What I really want is a QXGA C2D machine...

I am looking over the R60 manual...and it looks like UXGA panel can be used on a R60 but a new lcd cable is needed ...because the new LCD cable looks different from my old R50P one..
Has anybody tried to fit a t42P or R50P older flexview on R60..

PW... do you know if QXGA can somehow be fitted into a R60?
the shell looks the same except the LCD cable is different...
anyway to use the old QXGA screen and QXGA cable but "some how"
folded or twisted to fit into the r60 to make it work? since the Lcd cable is more center on the r60 series

I think it's possible, but it's not easy. Take a look at this thread.
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)
