Can't update BIOS

I have downloaded the latest BIOS (and the embedded control program) and I tried to update the BIOS.

The machine asks to reboot, but when it reboots, it boots to XP and doesn't show/boot the BIOS upgrade program at all..

Any suggestion how to fix it? I don't have any multi boot enviroment here and I simply tried to download the exe files and running them, since I don't have floppy drive here..

Suggestions?

is it possible you have the bios set not to allow flashing by end-user? (under security)
