Docking port pin labels?

#1 Post by sojourner » Sat Dec 22, 2007 11:55 pm

Thinking about doing a modification on my TP. Would like to bring the built-in serial port to the outside (for portable operation, no mini-dock). Seems the easiest way to do this is to tap off the docking port, but I need to know which pins to tap!

Anyone know where a schematic (with labels) of the port can be found?

The T60 series has a serial/parallel adapter that fits in the ultrabay (which is the same ultrabay as the T4x series). If it works, it'll look much cleaner. You will lose usage of your ultrabay though...

ricerocket, that's pretty interesting. Never heard of such an accessory!

I run most of the time with a DVD drive or extra HDD in the Ultrabay, would still consider that adapter though. Any idea where one can find it?

* Still hope someone knows where to find the docking port pin labels!

The socket connection for that adapter is not present in the T4x Ultrabay Slim slot.
