SOLD!hi-end R40 (2681-Q6U) P4 2.4, 15" SXGA+, worldwide

#1 Post by ajkula66 » Sun Dec 23, 2007 10:34 am

This one has been sitting for a while, and I really have no use for it...so if it can leave my house in exchange for a couple of bills...I wouldn't object to that...

ThinkPad R40 2681-Q6U

Original description:
P4-M 2.4GHz
256MB RAM........................upgraded to 512Mb
60GB HDD..........................NONE
15 SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD
32MB ATI Radeon 7500
16x10x24x/8x CDRW/DVD
Wi-Fi 802.11a/b wireless(MPCI)
Modem(CDC)
Ethernet(LOM)
UltraNav
Secure Chip(TCPA)
IEEE 1394
Li-Ion battery
WinXP Pro

The machine is in excellent condition apart some scratches on the lid, 9 or better on a 1-10 scale. Battery is in green, with 361 cycles, holding 37.51Wh out of original 57.60 design capacity. I can also supply copies of original XP restore disks for this model.

So, what is it worth? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thank you one and all, my fellow ThinkPad addicts.

George, I'd say that $325 would be a fair price for that machine based on similar offerings on EBay. Might be worth $350 to $375 with the right hard drive.

And once again, Harryc saves the day! :thumbs-UP:

Thank you, sir!

Not too many replies/inquiries on this one, though...

The laptop is now offered as described for $300 firm plus shipping to whatever destination you choose to pay for. I can provide a HDD if needed.

No, it's an SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD. If it was Flexview it would have been listed as an SXGA+ IPS (1400x1050) TFT.
