I'd be very interested in seeing the D630 next to the 14.1" wide T61. I hope that's not too much trouble.

while the d630 has very good build quality, the thinkpad is better.

from a design standpoint, the D630 is very simple. 4 screws and the entire screen assembly can be replaced.

the t61 seems convoluted in comparison.


T61's quadro 140m is about twice as fast (in every sense) as 630's 135m.

dell uses a better lcd panel.
