T61 with PCMCIA/SmartCard to PCMCIA/ExpressCard possible?

Hi there guys,

I have a quick question. I have a T61 which has a PCMCIA slot and SmartCard reader in it, is it possible to swap this bit out and install a PCMCIA and ExpressCard slot?

Any help appreciated.

I don't see why not. The FRU number for the PCMCIA/Express card module is 42X3827. To be doubly sure check yourself in the HMM for your T61.

I also asked about a WUXGA panel for my Z61m (to replace the WSXGA I have currently), alas that is £350 - booo! - Chances are I would need to replace the inverter etc too no?
