Beeping sound

#1 Post by nut cracker » Sat Dec 29, 2007 8:47 am

Hi,

I'm new and I have a problem. Sometimes, while I'm working normally on my T40, I hear a beep which lasts for about one or two seconds, followed by a clicking sound. It seems to come from the right side near the DVD drive. What's the cause of this? Thanks.

Device Manager > Click "View" > Show Hidden Devices > "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" will be displayed in the list > Expand it > Right click on the "Beep" and select "Properties" > Driver > Type > Disable. (This will permanently disable it until you modify the settings again).
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
