X31 Security Chips

I read a nice topic describing an issue of mine. He stated that the four reps of four beeps was a security chip issue, which I had figured out, but he also stated that it was the IR/Firewire fru that was the issue. I have noticed that all of the X31's MB's with the issue and one that works just fine, have a FRU from Japan. The others, three working ones, are from China.

Does anyone know more? I got these unit honestly, and I would love to disable the security and move on.
