electrocuted?

In the process of trying to fix the lcd/lcd cable/invertor I accidentally unplugged the lcd wire. Since then the laptop won't boot.
What it does after I take out the vatter and put it back in is blink the light for 1 sevond make a power up noise and then stop.

Did I electrocute the motherboard?
