help with wireless 2647 8rg

i was brought this laptop for christmas without a manual.
sucessful my housemate got it to work via a cable connection, then with a dongle, but now has stopped working with the dongle.
1. does this laptop have wireless connection facilities alone?
2. how do i go about getting it to work with the dongle again?
i have tried to follow the guidelines on various websites but get stuck as i cant seem to find anything with the "radio" on it.
any help would be great as i havent a clue!

As you can see, it does not have built-in wireless (802.11b)
Download the Hardware Maintenance Manual under 'User's guide & manuals'
You can also find all the drivers there if you need any.

To help you better, what (dongle) card are you using?

the card is a usb 2.0 adapter? it says 802.11g
edimax?
another thing that has confused me that it had some wireless setting programs on in?
