Hello.
Recently I replaced a motherboard on my Thinkpad 600.
I used to believe that my PCMCIA socket was bad but it
turns out that after replacement of the mainboard (bad
memory socket, broken USB, bad PCMCIA) someone has
stuck a post-it note inside the upper PCMCIA socket (why
would someone do this I have no clue).
I used to believe that due to bad mainboard several nic
cards I used were locking up the notebook.
The only one I found to be good was realtek 8169 Gigabit
card (trendnet TEG-PCBUSR model). It works great with Ghost
by the way (if you need instructions on creating a boot
disk please let me know - this card is the same as Netgear
GA511 and bunch of others since they all use the same chip).
So, lastly then what are good NIC PCMCIA cards (10/100 32-bit
only, no 10mbit please) that would work good in this notebook?
I am somewhat affraid to use my Netgear FA511 as it was very
troublesome with this notebook. I also have US Robotics 7901A
which works great on TP 600X but I can't tell how it will work
on thinkpad 600 due to different hardware specs.
Good 10/100 Ethernet PCMCIA cards for Thinkpad 600?

I bought this one about eight months ago and it has been rock solid and was inexpensive. Stellar performance and even includes drivers on a floppy, for Linux, wow! It's 32bit.
Check out the specs; http://www.cnet.com.tw/product/cnf401.htm
Good luck with your search.

I use a LinkSys PCMPC200. Works great with Windows. Works in Linux automatically. They are not made anymore but Amazon has a seller with one for about $10.
I like cards WITH dongles because they never interfere with other cards.
I would certainly try all the cards you have in your 600. It should handle any CardBus card just fine.
