Accress Connections seems to prevent log in

Having an odd issue with the T43 this evening. It seems like Access Connections is part of the log in process on this machine even though I believe I've unchecked the box in Access Connections.

When I log in on the machine, I enter my password and the little Access Connections box immediately pops up. It seems to wait to connect to the wireless router. This process has been taking longer and longer over the past few weeks. Tonight it just hangs at the Access Connections window and never loads up.

I can't get to a safe mode on this machine. I can get into R&R (version 3) and have been able to establish a hardwired connection directly to my router and can use the Opera browser from there.

Any suggestions on this?

OK, I finally got the machine into SAFE MODE (somewhat challenging for some reason on the T43) and removed Access Connections. Problem gone, machine re-started w/o issues following password entry.

I re-installed AC 4.42. There was a check box that asked if you wanted to integrate the Windows log-in process with AC. I left the box unchecked. All seems well again.
