It should fit into a 15" T4x.

Go to Service parts list index - ThinkPad and then select Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad R50/p, R51 - and search for 93P4780 there; what you have is a NMB keyboard (English, U.S.). Then go to Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad T40/p, T41/p, T42/p and/or Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad T43/p and there you will see that your 93P4780 will work in both (15") T42's and T43's. :-)

NOTE however that NMB keyboards used to be made in Thailand, but that most recent NMB keyboards have been manufactured in China, and that the Thai version by many users are considered as being "best" - see e.g. the thread keyboard FRU 08K4986 / Part 08K4957. If you want another of these keyboards, try contact forum.thinkpads.com user dimitri_P and ask if he might be able to help you with a 15" NMB Thai-keyboard (see the thread ¤~FS~¤ ThinkPad T40 T41 T42 T43 14.1" THAILAND Keyboard). Don't expect NMB/Thai keyboards to be around forever... so perhaps an idea to get one and "keep in stock"?

Best regards,

Johan

I can also confirm that 14" T4x and R5x keyboards are swappable, as are 15" T4x and R5x keyboards.

You can not swap between 14" and 15" models of either type. They have different screw/bolt patterns and quantities.
