T23 - Memory Slot Failure repair

#1 Post by pilote » Thu Jan 03, 2008 9:55 am

One of my T23's developed the memory slot failure error. I would rather have it repaired then be a parts machine to my other T23. I like the T23's, they are great for travel and general personal use and still have great utility for me. Anybody have a referral to someplace or someone who can fix this condition on my unit?

I have read the threads on the "home repair" of this condition; I no longer have the interest in attempting such exploratory surgery, those days are long gone...

Hopefully a repair price would not come close to buying a new unit from the Lenovo Outlet...

I've performed that repair on T23's for some time.

First I would ask if you've run PC Doctor or memtest, or if you've swapped both sticks (one at a time) or one stick, socket to socket to be sure it's not the modules and verify which socket.

If you don't mind paying the shipping....... I could do it for a nominal fee.

PM me if your interested and I'll give you further details.
