Intel Turbo Memory Does it do anything??

#1 Post by gregarpp » Fri Jan 04, 2008 11:27 pm

I bought my T61 with the turbo memory option.

How can I tell if I am even using it?
Is there software I need to use to configure it??

If you have XP, the Turbo Memory will not be working.

If you have Vista, you probably won't be able to tell if it is working but you can tell if it is installed. Check your device manager under hard drive for the Turbo line item.

I read in another thread that while you can "measure" the benefit from TurboMemory, you won't "feel" it for a few years. What a joke.

You can google and read an article about it that basically says wait until it gets bigger from 1 to say 4 GB. Mostly affects battery life rather than speed.
