Is Samsung lcd interechangable with the IDTech lcd?

I have T41 with cracked 14.1 xga lcd-IDTech. Recently a bought same size, but samsung lcd off ebay, as seller stated the screen came off t42 and in working condition.

the problems is following:

when i put samsung lcd - it doesnt work on my machine
when i put back idtech lcd everything works.

What should i do?

yes, both xga screens

Than it should work. Both use the same inverter and cable. Is it possible it came from R5x? They look the same and fit, but the pin arrangement is different . Some swaps like that can cook the motherboard. What is samsung part number?
