Connection-specific DNS Suffix

#1 Post by nikemen » Mon Jan 07, 2008 7:40 pm

Can anyone tell me why all of my computers are now showing an odd Connection-specific DNS Suffix?

I was working at a company, just using their wifi network recently, and now regardless of where I am connected, AT HOME EVEN I see their Connection-specific DNS Suffix in my wireless network card listings. www.companyname.com?

Even when I go home and connect to my home WIFI, running through a new connection process, I get the same thing. It doesn’t show the DSL provider, or anything.

Is there a way to correct this, and or flush it? What is it DOING actually? Is this some sort of tracking software.

Tryflushing your dns cache and delete their wireless network from your properties advanced tab in the WLAN connection

thanks, well I tried flushing, that didn't work. Not sure why I cannot delete the account settings though.
