what version of callisto for the T43 (x300 mobility)?

#1 Post by ricerocket » Tue Jan 08, 2008 6:28 am

I've gotten b003, b006 and b008 to run I believe. b003 doesn't support DPMS modes and won't shut off the monitor even when the system tells it to. I can get b006 and b008 to run on my external display, but I get garbled goodness when I try and run it on the T43 display. Any ideas?

I dont have any ideas on how to get it to work either...Im currently working on getting 10.4.8 working good on my T43, so if you come up with anything, PLS let me know!

BTW- did you manage to get ethernet working on it?
If so, how?

Callisto b003 is stable. All you need to do is install that, and follow the Koverg patch.

I got wireless working on my Atheros chipset (natively supported). You have to edit the kexts to match the device ID on the card in IO80211Family.kext. Didn't try wired ethernet, but I imagine it'd be the same (except you edit IONetworkingFamily.kext instead).

here is another good one for ya- What version of OS-X are you running? I guess that would be kind of important to know...

I did get the Atheros working just fine in 10.4.8 though...no luck with 10.5.1

I got Atheros working in both. Procedure was the same, edit the AirPortAtheros kext in IO80211Family.kext to match the IBM product ID.

Callisto doesn't really work in Leopard. The framebuffer works, just not with QE/CI. So basically, you get what you would with the standard VESA driver, except you get a lot of artifacts.
