T22 - SXGA motherboard, XGA screen ?

#1 Post by clayts » Wed Jan 09, 2008 8:42 pm

Am I correct in thinking that if I have a replacement system board which is clearly from the top of the T22 range (1 gig CPU, Savage card with the extra '+' on the end) I would need a matching SXGA screen ?

I believe I may have blundered and bought the wrong system board to replace the one in my 'less than premium' T22 with a standard XGA screen.

Thanks for your help :)

(My plan to replace the mobo on my T22 to cure the Ultrabay problems has already reached a snag it seems :()

It's ok to worry but not too much...... it's bad for your health. The XGA will work just fine as long as you use it's original cable. Nice thing is, you can switch to an SXGA+ whenever you like now, you have the board for it..... If you do switch over in the future you'll need the cable and inverter for the SXGA+.

That's excellent news indeed.

So I could always upgrade at a later date if I choose. Nice to have that option.

Thanks for the reassurance :)
