Suspend Issues and fuction buttons on Fedora Core

#1 Post by nathan5603 » Wed Jan 09, 2008 10:26 pm

I have a new T61 running Fedora Core 8. Every time I resume the Thinkpad from suspend mode the monitor backlight never comes back on. Do you guys have the same issue?

Also are there any ways to get the fuction buttons to work in Fedora?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Nathan

I had this issue with Ubuntu, and fixed it by installing Fedora 8. I'm not sure what the differences are, make sure gnome-power-manager and the whole system is up to date first.

What video card are you using as well?

I recently downloaded updates and now the suspend options work well. I was streaming the Tonight Show and had network services going. The display came right back up like normal. Thank you for your help. Have a good day.
