I have tried a few of those I picked up off ebay cheap.You get what you pay for.The ones I tried were worth what I paid for them(almost nothing);but,no more than that.

If it sounds "too good to be true"

I tried a couple free sites a while back. Not bad, if you wanted to watch a foreign game show in a language you could not understand, or tutorials in their religion.
The best I fould on any of the free ones was a link to CNN, but that was removed shortly after I fould it.
Oh well. as stated:

The sling box is pretty cool.

But my objective is to cut down on the monthly cable expense....

I know its not 'live tv' but there are a lot of websites to watch shows on the day or so after they've been aired for the first time.
Thats what I've been doing to cope with not having a TV

Pretty sure they don't do that for cable shows though. Only legal way around cable is patiently waiting for the DVDs, I think.

if you're into Sony, The LocationFree Base Station, or whatever it's called, will broadcast your cable from your house to your Laptop, desktop, or PSP, as well as allow you to watch your DVD's in your house on the road.
