When the brick is being used to charge a discharged battery, the brick becomes so hot to the touch, it probably would burn skin if held for more than a few seconds.
Once the battery is charged, it cools down. I understand the physics of converting the electicity, charging the battery, etc, but I wonder whether this is normal behavior. I have 4 T40s and don't recall their power supply units becoming this hot.

T60p power brick is burning hot, then cool
well it is a 90w AC adapter and it's pushing 20volts. The older ones were just 75w and 16volts. so yeah i'd expect these to get warmer while they are charging and powering the system. Your T60p is i'm sure super power hungry compared to the regular T60.
