BSOD when I put my T61 into Stand By.

#1 Post by puntible » Wed Jan 16, 2008 8:31 pm

I've had my Thinkpad T61 since late August and for the first few months I had a problem with my computer freezing at random times which led to a hard reset. After reading these forums I went through a few steps and now I do not have that problem.

However, now I encounter a problem where when I try to put the computer into stand by, it enters the black screen, the lights flash like they usually do at the bottom of the monitor, but then it just stops there. I cant bring the computer up, the little moon light that says that the comp is in stand by doesnt show up, the mouse is off, and after a while the computer gets the BSOD with a power state failure.

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem
thank you.

Use ThinkVantage System Update or:

Drivers and software - ThinkPad T61, T61p.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
