Wireless card working but cannot connect

#1 Post by merbel » Tue Nov 23, 2004 10:51 am

I have a PMCIA a/b/g wireless card and a home network. Was working fine but then had to restart the main hub and now I cannot connect to internet. Device working properly and says is already configured when I try to put in code. SHows good signal strength but when cannot launch explorer. Ideas?

disconnect your cable modem from the router, and shut off both. Power cycle your cable modem, reconnect the cable to the router, and then turn on the router. Everything should then be fine.

It could also possibly arise from having ticked the box to "Let Windows configure my wireless network"

Right click on your wireless network connection, click 'Properties', then click the onglet marked 'Wireless Network Connection'

(I'm doing this on a French O/S so please forgive my translations...)
