R40 bluetooth antenna

#1 Post by kajencik » Thu Jan 17, 2008 4:41 am

Hello, I just bought a BMDC module for my R40, and as suggested, used one of the wireless antennas for bluetooth, but, it gives me slightly worse wireless performance than with the two ones, so I'll switch both back to the wireless card.

Now, what would you suggest? Will the bluetooth module without antenna be working at least at a short range? I plan to use bluetooth mostly for connecting to the internet through my mobile phone, so the distance the bluetooth must reach will be less than 1 m in most cases. I could also buy another pair of wireless antennas but I'd rather go without any bluetooth antenna at all if it's possible.

Try it. I don't think it will work well without an antenna ... Let us know. Even if you snaked an antenna around under the palm rest it would be better than nothing.
