ATI Driver & Resolution for T40

#1 Post by redsi » Sat May 29, 2004 12:55 pm

I have a T40 2373-19U and my screen can only do 1024x768 res. Anyone knows if I can install a different ATI driver and increase the res?

In addtion, did anyone try to install ATI Radeon 7500 driver (for regular AGP card) on their IBM machine?

um...no, however, you can get a different display to increase your resolution (i.e. switch your XGA screen for an SXGA+).

You can't get higher resolution on your TP, since the max resolution is 1024x768.

Display:
External display supported: Yes
Simultaneous external display: Yes
Screen type description: TFT
Viewable image size (diagonal): 14.1inches
Screen illumination: Backlit
Max colors or grey shades: 16777216
Max resolution: 1024x768

But if you attach an external monitor you can get 2048x1536 resolution.

Using this this little tool with the combination of the official ATI driver you will get some additional features the IBM ATI driver doesn't offer.

A bit better performance. 1600x1200 resolution on external monitor via DVI. No compatibility problems in games. Different "Advanced" menu.
