Hey all,
I wanted to upgrade my ram and network card does anyone know of an authorized dealer in Southern California (Orange County)?

You can always buy RAM from Fry's and upgrade it yourself. It is very easy actually.
What network card are you talking about?

I was thinking of going to wireless N network card. Would something like that also be easy to upgrade myself?
Thanks

it would if it was possible. I saw threads saying that even the Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad/Intel cards don't work in the T60 only the T61 and others designed for it.

i really want to go the N route also cuz i am gonna have most of my data on NAS drives and burning DVD data discs over wifi is a no go. You can do it over LAN but i don't want to have to do that. With 802.11n you can get 90Mbps even in regular 2.4Ghz channels. With Dualchannel mode (40mhz) in the A band you can push up to 300Mbps :)

Actually, only the Intel 4965N won't work in the T60. The Atheros N wireless card will work just fine.
You will need to purchase a third antenna from Lenovo to achieve MIMO.

ok well cool... i was hoping the Intel one would work but i guess Atheros it is :) I know i know, Atheros is much better (i had a T42 with it) but the Intel i have now isn't bad, i get less heat (more battery i guess). it works just great for me :)

There are generations in Atheros NIC, newer generation of card based on AR9001 chipset would not work in thinkpad T60.
