I have recently upgraded from a T42 to a T60p. Each one is a 14" model with a SXGA+ panel. IMHO, the colour/contrast on my old panel (Samsung) is better than the new one (TMD), and I also prefer the feel of my old keyboard compared to the new one.
Does anybody know if they are compatible? That is, can I simply substitute them? Assuming I can do that, is the keyboard a customer replaceable unit? I assume the LCD panel is not (i.e., I would void my warranty on the T60p if I replaced the panel myself). I guess I could have an authorized Thinkpad service shop substitute it for me and therefore safeguard the warranty. Does that make sense?
Thanks for your advice.
