T21 Screen Issues

#1 Post by Oraklini » Fri Jan 18, 2008 10:51 pm

Hi, my T21 is mint apart from a tiny chip out of the screen, about
1/2mm in diameter. (plus a few pressure marks).

Thing is, I paid £40 for the machine, fitted a near new keyboard,
512 low density Ram, 60Gb 54K H/D. Just the display is letting the
side down.

I appreciate this is an ageing machine and display issues tend to
result in lower resale values ..should I bother replacing the screen?

As it stands, I've got about £80 in the machine at the moment,
I see T21's going for twice that amount on e-bay uk.

Am i been unrealistic?

Thank for any input

Personally I wouldn't replace it unless it bothered me while viewing the screen. For resale it might be worth it ...

I originally bought this machine as spares/repair. It was a simple
fix - cmos battery and a good old hard boot.

The state of the screen does bother me as I want it to be in 1st
class condition for the next owner ... saying that, if I sort the screen
I might want to keep it.

mmm.. I think I've answered my own question :D
