If so, may I know the FRU# please?
I thought they never existed on T4 series but I've seen some eBay auction which states the burner is designed for T4 series. Could it be a T6 drive with a T4 face plate?
Do Double Layer DVD burners exist on T4 series?

Ok. I found it myself. It's called UltraBay Slim Super Multi-Burner Drive. 39T2729 is the FRU number for the curved bezel (for T4 series)
Here's the product link, in case someone is interested

The 39T2729 is identical to 40Y8622 (the latter seems to be the most commonly seen) - more info in the thread Swapping T60 Multiburner w/ T42 DVD/CDRW. In Denmark the 40Y8622 today cost around $225 but look to HarryC's suggestion in the above-mentioned thread about how to build yourself such a drive - much cheaper!

Johan

Thanks Johan! The post is very helpful.
So basically:
UJ-842
39T2729 = 40Y8622 (curved bezel)
39T2677 = 40Y8623 (flat bezel)
UJ-852 (faster than UJ-842)
39T2850 (flat bezel only)
The drive in my T60p has a FRU# of 39T2679. (Neither UJ-842 nor UJ-852 but a GSA-4083N) It says DVD MULTI II and it has the flat bezel. Is it safe to say:
UJ-842 & GSA-4083N = DVD MULTI II
UJ-852 = DVD MULTI III
GSA-U10N??? Anything about this drive?
Geez so many FRU numbers... I'm exhausted[/b]
