Pleased to report that the install of modded BIOS 2.23 on my R60 (9461-HRG) running Windows 7 64-bit with a newly installed Intel 5300AGN works flawless.

Thx

I have both an X200 & SL500. The X200 has an 802.11n card while the SL500 has only a b/g card. I purchased this card from mono-price:

img]http://images2.monoprice.com/productmed ... /64171.jpg[/img]

http://www.monoprice.com/products/produ ... 1&format=2

Name of wifi card: WS-WNP672N Wireless-N Adapter
Specs:

I'd prefer to keep the x200 stock and simply not touch it. I'd rather try my luck with the SL500 since if that bricks, I can more so afford to replace that laptop.

Any helps is MOST appreciated!

SL machines are not on the list of available BIOS's. PM sent...and we don't allow inline pics on the forum without a warning in the subject line. Breaking .img tags.

Thanks.

Sorry for the inline pics, just doing stuff in a hurry.

I moved my intel 5300 from my x200 to my sl500 and I still get the error. I thought you could transfer from lenovo to lenovo. I was wrong.

X200s BIOS is not on the list, so you'd have to ask Zender unless it is compatible with X200 or X200t.

Hello all,
I have successfully updated my T400 with Zender's modified BIOS. I would like to thank Zender and everyone who collaborated with him for such a great job.

That being said, I need some help with another thing: I use Lenovo's Access Connections, but I am unfamiliar with hex editors. I don't know how to look for the "ID of a supported card and replace it with the ID of my own card". I'm using an unlocked Sierra MC8775 WWAN card. If anyone knows the code for this card and/or knows the hardware ID of a supported card to replace it with, and could indicate me the steps to follow, that'd be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Eliyahu.

Hi Guys,

I have a X61T (7764). I would like to be able to use a Sprint 3g card (sierra 5725 card).

Do I need to flash the BIOS also to use it?

It currently has a verizon 5725 card. I need to unlock the WWAN card so I can convert it to sprint I guess. Is that possible? How do I do it?

If anyone could give me the BIOS I need to flash the system with, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Is anyone willing to take up Zender's work? My stock wireless card is broken and I'm currently running a modded BIOS but it's based on an older version. The newest version fixes a graphical corruption issue I'm experiencing.

I followed his instructions to modify it myself but I'm getting stuck on phnxmod.exe.

Code: Select all

phnxmod.exe BIOSC6.rom old.mod new.mod
PhnxMod 0.1 2008-02-19
(c) Ender

Okay, all files open.
ROM size 8000h, old module 8882h+1Bh, new module 8882h+1Bh.
Loading data...Old module (without header) not found in the ROM file. Quitting.
If I can't get this update I'll have to spend $45 on a new Intel 5300 and go back to stock BIOS.

Thanks.

Yes, it would be awesome if someone could pick up from where, it would seem, Zender has left off.

Zender if you are still around PLEASE RESPOND!! WE MISS YOU!!!! :)

I too have issues on my T60p that can be addressed only by upgrading to the newest BIOS, 2.26. The older, 2.25 has keyboard and HDD0 detection errors which I have both experienced.

I have sent a handful of PMs over the past few months requesting a BIOS update for a T60 but I've received no response. What is the proper method to request a BIOS?

@ Paulag, are you looking for a normal BIOS update for a T60 or are you trying to install a non-IBM/Lenovo card and are getting an 1802 error?
