Free Disposable Email Addresses

#1 Post by RealBlackStuff » Mon Jan 21, 2008 5:19 pm

Tired of getting spam after you had to sign on for yet another website?
Use a free, disposable one-of email, as offered by: 2prong.

I've been using this little gem for a long time, works like a charm!

PS: as the staff here pointed out, you can NOT sign up to forum.thinkpads.com using a temporary email address!

Compared to the 10-minute email, the 2prong stays up for as long as you keep the original webpage open.
Better in cases where the 'other side' does not respond immediately.

I want to point out to any non-members out there reading this that if you register here using one of these temporary addresses and the admin team recognizes it, your account will not be activated or will be deactivated.

Same thing for leaving out your location. City/state or outside the US city/country is required.

I went in to options and used the setting "only accept mail from persons on contact list" (but I did that in the prior version, not the new version). My contact list is empty. ... JDH
