Need help with x22 badly

#1 Post by richrich » Tue Jan 22, 2008 10:48 am

I have two problems with my x22.
Whenever I boot up it says

Resource Conflict - PCI Network Controller in slot 01 Bus :02, Device :05, Function: 00

pressing Esc well allow me to get into windows. I have tried clearing the cmos setting bios to default values. I found the error went away when i removed the mini pci modem card.

I thought ok bad card and i dont use a modem. So i ordered an certified ibm 2200bg card. While booting up i get the same error grhhhhh, listed above. While in windows Xp the hardware wizard detects a new network controller but it is unable to dectect the drivers. i have tried using both the ibm and intel drivers but same thing. They dont seem to detect the card.

I have tried the supplemnet files no good. I have tried reseating the card no good. ibm lists this problem on there website , but there solution is no good. Could it be the onboard mini pci slot is bad ? helpppp

Tried messing around with the irqs also no good.

I have the latest bios 1.30
with a win xp sp2 install

Welcome to the forum!

Dispose of all the drivers that you've installed for the card thus far.

Re-load the drivers from IBM/Lenovo site.

Insert the card.

Follow the "found new hardware" routine.

Good luck.
