Direct3d on my A31P 2653 AG5

Hello all,
Since I own my A31P (3 Years) I have no direct 3d support. DXDIAG says, that direct draw and direct3d acceleration is unavailable. I can test the direct draw support (bouncing white box) but It won't let me test the direct3d support (button not pushable).

I cannot run most of the games, because of missing direct3d.

The specs of the ATI mobility fire GL 7800 say, that it should support direct3d.

I installed the latest Video driver from the IBM web page, and I installed DirectX 9c without success.

Can anybody help me in this mather?

DirectX 9c is running fine on my A31p, and it should so on yours as well. Can you check which display driver is running? This sounds like your system is not using the IBM/ATI driver, but the stock VGA driver.
