X31 cpu replacement

#1 Post by glenn778 » Fri Jan 25, 2008 10:00 pm

I looked in the hardware maintence guide, but could not found out how to replace the cpu. I have the cpu fan assembly off and the cpu exposed. How do I remove it? I looks almost soldered on. Any help would be appreciated.

It is soldered in. The only way to replace the CPU is to replace the motherboard.

I assume you want to upgrade the CPU - replacing the motherboard is the only way. What speed are you trying to get?
