pc133 backwards compatable?

My friend has a T21 we are going to get up and running (hopefully). just wondering if need be can I use pc133 ram to test to see if his ram is bad?

Only if the PC133 that you have is "low density" which means 8 chips per side will it work in a T21.

I'll have to qualify that... 8 per side (16 total) if you are talking about a 256MB module. 4 per side (8 total) if you are talking about a 128MB module.

thanks for the info, I have some 512 coming to upgrade a recent T23 aquisition, I can the take the 256 currently installed in that to test the T21.
