Battery seems to drain - anything I can do?

#1 Post by csloth » Sat Jan 26, 2008 9:55 am

Hi. I experiencing some problems with the 4-cell battery that was included when i bough my R61

It works fine until there is about 10% left. Then it seems to drain and drops instantly to 4%. I have tried to upgrade the BIOS to the latest version but that didn't help.

Any suggestions as to what else I can do? - or do you think that the battery is defective and needs to be replaced?

I think this is normal when it gets below 10-15%. 4 cells battery is pretty small. Look for a 6 cells or 9 cells battery.
