Is it worth the effort on a Thinkpad T41?

OK, here is a place to discuss OSX on thinkpads.

Is it worth the effort on a Thinkpad T41?

#1 Post by Thomcat » Sat Jan 26, 2008 4:26 pm

I've got a rebuilt 2373-thd with 768mb of ram. Is it worthwhile to load OSX on it?

From what I've researched, my best bet is 10.4.8 as most everything works on it (IBM A/B/G wireless nic, usb, etc... ). Can anyone confirm this? Is the Radeon 9000 hardware accelerated? I've read conflicting info on the web, here and the insanelymac forums.

Any caveats?

I'd be interested too as I have a T40 w 1 gig of Ram (2373-19U) and a 100gig HD I use as a backup. AND I have OSX 10.4 disks from an eMac I was recently given.

The eMac disks won't work, that is a PowerPC machine.

Thanks. It doesn't work all that well either. Not sure I can see the big whoop. I like my Thinkpad a heck of a lot better.
