Atheros Technology (wireless)

#1 Post by Tony_Gee » Sat Jan 26, 2008 4:38 pm

 I own a Toshiba Satellite L30 Laptop and a built-in wi-fi Technology, the make of which is Atheros, version 4.1.1.231. I originally purchased my laptop in London, UK. My query here is - is this technology suitable to work properly anywhere around the globe? Am currently in Portugal, btw, but back in London it works just fine. I have not tried out the wi-fi feature as yet, as not many hotspots in my area... will try soon eventually. Thanks a bunch for any clues. Tony :D

MOD EDIT: The question belongs to Off topic.

It most probably would work with most wireless hotspots.
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU

Rules of the road :thumbs-UP:

:D Work really well on Linux too! :D

My PCMCIA one I use for Linux is a Netgear Atheros based card.
